| 1. Why should my business have
a website?
Your competitors have
one, shouldn't you?
The Internet is global. Anyone, anywhere in the world can get on the Internet and see
your website. The number of individuals and businesses establishing a
presence on the Internet has exploded. Wherever you look (TV, magazines,
movies, radio) you see or hear www.companyname.com. Your customers are
already looking at your competitors' websites; shouldn't they be looking
at yours?
The Internet allows a multimedia experience for visitors to websites. Website visitors
can gather information, compare products and services, communicate with
the business by e-mail requesting help with a product or service, or read
a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the product or service
they purchased to help them if they are having problems. This saves the
businesses time and money in customer service. It's also an excellent
way to advertise and market your products and services because it's like
having an advertisement in all of the Yellow Pages and newspapers across
the world without the huge costs.
2. Isn't it very expensive to have a business website?
Not at all. Your business
can have a very in-depth website with your own domain name (www.yourcompany.com)
created and maintained for a reasonable fee.
3. I don't know anything about the Internet or computers.
You don't have to, we take
care of it all. But you do know the value of marketing and advertising
though, because you probably have a Yellow Pages advertisement in the
phone book and have or would like to have radio and television commercials.
A business website is a permanent advertisement on the Internet for people
to access 24 hours a day and learn more about your business.
4. The Internet is very
large, with millions of websites, how is anyone going to find my website?
We will register your website
with the major directories (search engines). Then, when anyone searches
the Internet using keywords that are associated with your business, your
website's address will be listed so that they can click on the link and
go to your website. We also include meta tags in your HTML document, which
helps search engines locate your page. And every client receives a free
information packet on website promotion. Of course, you can also list
your website address on letterheads, brochures, and other advertisements.
5. How long does it take to get a website up
and running so that customers can visit it?
We can usually create a website
of 7-10 pages within a week or two. More complex sites may take longer.
We will also register your domain name. This usually takes 4-5 days, so
that by the time the registration process is completed we are ready to
start uploading your website to the server.
6. How will I know that I'll be satisfied with
my website, I don't want a website on the Internet that everyone can access
that I'm not happy with?
We take care of that by uploading
the in-progress website as we complete pages to the server where they
are accessible only to you. You can get on the Internet and see your website
as we work on it and inform us of changes that you would like made. Once
you are satisfied with it, we make it accessible to everyone!
7. How do we get started?
We will provide
you with a worksheet where you can outline what you would like on your
site. You can provide us with existing brochures or pamphlets that you
have to help in the design process. Of course, we work closely with you
to suggest webpage layout in accordance with HTML constraints.
8. Is there a limit to
how many pages I can have on my website?
Absolutely not.
Depending on the needs of your business, your site may span anywhere from
a single page to 100 pages.
9. Can I receive e-mail
on my website?
Yes. With your domain name,
you get unlimited e-mail addresses. You can choose any name to put in
front of your domain name such as robert@yourcompany.com,
sales@yourcompany.com, orders@yourcompany.com, and it all goes into your domain's mail box
in your server space. You can check your e-mail from any computer with
Internet access using an e-mail program. You can get your mail no matter
where you are as long as you have access to the Internet.
