for you. If you have a business, there's no better way to spend your
advertising dollar than on setting up your own website on the internet.
If you do not
already have a website, the first thing you need to do is choose a Domain
Name. This is the name people will type into their browsers to find
your site. Domain names are sold (and renewed annually) by Domain Registrars.
If the Domain Name you want is already registered by someone then you
will have to select a different name. So you will need to: (1) select
a name, (2) do a Name Search to make sure it is available, then (3)
register it if it is available.
Domain Name
If you desire your own Domain
Name, we will conduct a name search for you to make sure that the name
you want is available. We will also register your Domain Name with the
agency responsible for Domain Name Registration.
Registration Fee: $35

Hosting
The next thing you need is a
place to host your website. This means all of your files, graphics,
and text that comprise your website need to be stored on a computer,
called a server, that will allow other computers on the internet
to access it. These services are provided by firms called Hosting
Companies.

also provide hosting services for your site. For more information

Fees for our website design
services vary based on the complexity and time involved in developing
your site. Once we have discussed your needs and desires with you, we
will have an idea of how many hours will be required to complete your
website and be able to quote you an estimated completion time, which is
then applied to our hourly rate.
Additional features such as
Macromedia Flash, Java, or Javascript can be included on your site for
an additional fee. Contact us and let us know what you want for your website
and we can give you a better estimate of costs.
We offer the following page
design services to help you establish your presence on the Web.
We will design the layout of these pages for maximum effect. Alternatively,
you may specify how you would like the information presented.
Standard Website Package:
The-Website-Factory includes
the following elements in its Standard Website Packages:

E-mail/phone consultation
(Up to 2 hours total general Internet
orientation education, marketing strategy, Web design consultation,
and helping clients learn to use their own webpage editor. Telephone
long distance charges are in addition to package rates quoted.
Additional education and consultation, whether in person or by
phone, is billed at our hourly rate.)

Words of text supplied
by the client (200 words per page approximate maximum if
not supplied via CD. webpages of more than 1,200 words of
text may be subject to additional fees, especially if they
require a great deal of formatting.) Includes first three
pages of HTML.
- Links to
external pages, up to an average of 3 per page.

Custom Graphics Package.
Masthead graphic on first page (simple
custom graphic incorporating company logo). Top-of-page graphic
for all other pages in your website. Colorful lines and bullets,
and colored and textured background, if desired.

Photos and other miscellaneous graphic
images supplied by client (up
to an average of 2 included per page in standard websites and "regular"
online store pages, in addition to masthead and top-of-page graphic.
Color originals larger than 5" x 8" are extra).
- Installation of webpages
on the client's web hosting service. We
also offer a variety of afforadable hosting
options.

Minor updates and
changes to existing webpages are available for an additional charge
billed at our hourly rate.

Site publicity
to at least a dozen major Web search engines, such as Yahoo,
Google, AltaVista, InfoSeek, WebCrawler, Lycos, and HotBot,
including our detailed handout on the best ways to promote
and publicize your site.
- E-mail response link on
each webpage to any e-mail address the client designates.

Feedback or guest book form
if desired. (Basic CGI program or PHP included. Includes up to
10 fields. Extra charges may be incurred if the client's web hosting
service does not use a Unix operating system. Not included in
the package price for sites smaller than 6 pages. This is not
included in online stores, since the shopping cart software is
a functional equivalent.)

Image Map for
internal navigation, if desired. (Not included in the package

| Deluxe Website Package:
This is our most flexible option for establishing
a complete Web presence. You can have an unlimited
amount of text and graphics, provided that
text is submitted in electronic format. Scanning services for graphics
are included in
the hourly rate. Additional custom services, where applicable, are
billed at the rates described below. We will provide you with a
quote detailing the charges before we begin work on your project.
Fee: $85/hour |
E-Commerce Package
If your
business needs to sell products online, then you need an online
shopping cart. We can add shopping cart functionality to your
site, with a custom designed e-commerce package starting from
$1500.

Image Scanning & Optimization
If you don't have your artwork in electronic
format, we provide scanning services for an additional charge. Each
item should be no larger than 8.5" x 11." Fee:

Text Scanning and Conversion
We can scan hard copies of your text and
convert them to electronic files. All samples submitted should be
clearly legible originals or high-quality copies. We can not scan
faxed copies. Fee: $40/page
Logo Design If
you don't have your own logo, we can design one for you.
Fee: $300
Customized Forms Forms
are a convenient way to get feedback from your customers, or
to set up an ordering system. Fee:
$250 (up to 12 fields).
Image Maps Image
Maps are navigational tools that allow users to reach a specific
page on your site by clicking on the appropriate portion of
a graphic or image. Fee: $225
Updates/Changes
After your page has been designed, we
will correct any typographical or layout errors at no additional
charge. An additional charge will apply for any subsequent changes.
Fee: $85/hour
